Misleading Headline on Hybrid Cars by The Times Called Out

– Widespead criticism was aimed towards a misleading headline by The Times regarding hybrid vehicles, deeming it completely inaccurate.

– The article called the soft hybrid Jaguar E-Pace an “Electric vehicle” whereas mild hybrids, which cannot operate solely on electric power, are a technology to run ancilleries or start/stop at lights.

– The dispute highlights ongoing issues in media representation of electric vehicles, suggesting a potential anti-electric vehicle bias by certain editorial teams. Or maybe we’re over thinking it, and it’s raging incompetence or wilful ignorance from a journalist who can’t be bothered to Wikipedia what car they were writing about.
